Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful Easter Weekend. Earlier in the week we made some sugar cookies that we ate up too fast.

Dawson enjoying his sugar cookies!

Then Friday night we colored some eggs with Dawson. I love coloring Easter eggs! Dawson just wanted to eat the eggs! He would try to fit the whole egg into his mouth, but his teeth kept getting in the way!! So then he would take the egg and bang it against his teeth. We're lucky we didn't have a bunch of cracked eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide!

Saturday morning the Easter Bunny came and hid the eggs for Dawson and Dad to find. Dawson had no clue what was going on. Luckily, the Easter Bunny made a few of the eggs a challenge for Dad to find though.

Dawson wondering what in the world is going on!

Dawson and his egg!

Then after our little easter egg hunt, we headed down to Twin Falls to go to a Cousin Easter Egg hunt at Uncle Paul and Aunt Michelle's house. The kids did a great job of finding the all the eggs in under 2 minutes!! Again, Dawson was more interested in eating the eggs than looking for them. We had a great time and here are some pictures from the hunt.

Dawson's cousins, Ambree and Adarah, had the cutest bunny ear headbands on and lucky for us, Adarah handed hers off to me, so we snapped this fun picture!! It was a fun easter egg hunt!!

Saturday evening we also got to go to a suprise anniversary party for my great aunt and uncle, Gale and Lois Roberts. They have been married for 65 years!! It's neat to see their kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. It's times like this that really makes me realize what true success is in life. A happy, close family full of love, what could be better than that? We also went out to Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Molyneux's house for awhile since my 3 aunts where there for the weekend. It was just nice to sit around and talk with them. I don't know why, but Dawson was walking a ton at their house! About a month or so ago, he started taking some steps and we thought he was going to start walking soon, but then all of sudden he couldn't have cared less about walking. For some reason he wanted to walk for Great Grandma I guess! And once again he's back to not even caring!

Sunday my cousin Wyatt spoke in Sacrament meeting since he's leaving on his mission to Sydney Australia on April 2nd. He talked about repentance and it was a great topic for Easter and how important it is to repent. We are so blessed because of the Atonement and Resurrection of our Savior. We are excited for Wyatt and know that he will be an wonderful example of the Savior as he serves the people of Australia!

We had a jammed-packed weekend, full of family and friends and good times!! I'm sure it will only get better next year, when Dawson at least tries to look for an egg to eat!

They Learn so Quick!

Dawson did the funniest thing today at church. As soon as "amen" was said after the closing prayer in sacrament meeting. Dawson turned to Jayson and I and started clapping and smiling the biggest smile ever. Then while he was still clapping and grinning he turned to the sister sitting in front of us and clapped for her too. It was just like he knew that sacrament meeting was over and he sure was glad. Too bad he forgot there is 2 more hours after that. The Sister sitting in front of us thought Dawson was pretty funny. It was a pretty precious moment.

GUILTY!!!

I'm such a slacker! I haven't posted anything in such a long time. In fact, I haven't even looked at our blog in so long because I knew I hadn't posted anything and it would make me feel guilty! Today, on accident, I picked our blog to look at. (I thought I was clicking on my cousin's) Then I saw that we had 7 comments on the last post! AAHHH People are looking at our blog and we haven't posted since December of 2007!!!! Well, thank you everyone who left a comment because I'm officially motivated to update all ya'll!!!

We're doing great! We moved the last week in January to a bigger house. I was so excited to have a room for my office instead of my desk and stuff for work being in our bedroom! It took a little while for Dawson to get used to the new house, but now he's doing great! Jayson changed positions at Wells Fargo. He's in training now to be a personal banker. He's the one who you talk to about opening up accounts. This position will give him even more experience for more management positions. He's excited because this will be better for him to still go to school. So if anyone needs to open up a new account at Wells Fargo, Jayson is the man! I'm right in the middle of tax season. It's been a busy couple of months, but things are going well. If I have to make an excuse for not keeping an updated blog, tax season is the excuse and playing with Dawson! Dawson is gettting so big! He's 10 months now and is all BOY! He has to bang everything with his hands and then bangs it with his head! He's walks around the house holding on to the walls or couch or whatever he can support himself with, but he's just not brave enough to let go and try to do it himself. He has 5 teeth now that he loves to bite with (i'm about one more bite away from completely weaning the kid from nursing!) He really is a great little boy for us, we love him so much.

Who wouldn't love this messy little face!!
